1.1 Earthquake Mirpur Azad Jammu & Kashmir
At least 2,000 people remained homeless nearly a week after a devastating 5.8 magnitude earthquake in Mirpur Azad Jammu & Kashmir. According to the NDMA, the earthquake struck on September 24, 2019, and killed 39 people.
HHCS/ARPD conducted a free medical camp in the earthquake-affected areas, where more than 200 patients were examined and provided free medicines. Moreover, HHCS constructed homes for 5 deserving families of Mirpur.
1.2 Food Packages Distribution in Covid-19 Outbreak
HHCS started food distribution for daily wage earners in different districts of Pakistan, who are affected by the lockdown as a measure to contain the pandemic of COVID-19 outbreak in the country.
HHCS distributed food packages among the daily wagers in Peshawar, Mardan, Nowshera, Swat, Islamabad, Abbottabad, Karachi, and Azad Jammu & Kashmir.
